What it is

Bethesda Workshops has run Christian sex-addiction and betrayal-trauma intensives out of Nashville since 1997, and the structure is its strength: Healing for Men, Healing for Women, Healing for Partners and Advanced Healing each run four days, Healing for Couples runs three, and there is a teen workshop that includes parents. Partners are treated as their own population with their own workshop rather than as an appendix to the addict's program. Ten-week online aftercare groups for men, women and partners extend the work once people go home, which is where most intensives lose their effect. The clinical bar is high and stated plainly — 100% of the adult-workshop clinical staff hold CSAT (Certified Sex Addiction Therapist) or CPTT (Certified Partner Trauma Therapist) designations. Nearly 7,000 people have attended since 1997 and 97% say they would recommend it. Pricing is not published; call (615) 467-5610.
