What it is
ReStoried is built on three elements: contemplation, using Christian contemplative practices including Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina; creativity, with music, story and art woven into retreats; and creation, meaning outdoor and wilderness experience. Joey and Elizabeth Maxon draw on more than twenty years of marriage that has included addiction, chronic illness, fractured families and loss, and they work from that rather than from a clinical model. Offerings include marriage intensives, men's wilderness weekends, online contemplative communities — The Breathing Room for women and a weekly book study for men — plus individual sessions and a Divina Deck resource. Based in Clemson, South Carolina, with the online communities reachable anywhere. This is the entry here for someone who has exhausted the analytical, program-shaped approaches and needs silence, beauty and physical space instead. Pricing is not published.
