What it is
NCOSE works the structural end of this problem rather than the personal one, and it works it four ways: a Research Institute producing empirical analysis, including on pornography's neurological effects; a Law Center litigating against abuse and trafficking; corporate advocacy that mobilizes people to pressure companies into abandoning exploitation revenue; and bipartisan public policy work at state and national level. Its best-known output is the annual Dirty Dozen List naming the twelve mainstream companies most responsible for facilitating exploitation — a list that has repeatedly produced actual policy changes at named corporations. It also runs the Ending Sexploitation podcast and a Parent Center. Secular, leading a coalition of 300+ member organizations of varying backgrounds. In this directory it is the place to send someone whose response to their own recovery is 'and now I want to do something about the industry.'
